Suggestions For Use
Note: This hand hygiene plan is not recommended for use in households with children or
current and recovering alcoholics.
Hand Towelette 20-Pack:
Unscented paper towels with 40% grain alcohol (vodka) in a reclosable bag.
Use a towelette to sanitize your hands before eating when you are away from home. Each
towelette can be used 3-5 times before discarding. Keep the new towelettes
zipped closed in the one quart bag until ready to use. Towelettes can also be used as
make-up removers, instead of using products containing alcohol/SD alcohol/isopropyl alcohol. The
date on the right side of the label indicates the date made. The towelettes will stay moist
for one year when stored in the one quart bag in the refrigerator, and will become dry upon exposure
to heat or gradually at room temperature.
4oz Spray Pump (personal, bathroom):
Fill with vodka, 40% grain alcohol. Spray hands after using the bathroom. Three sprays
per hand, roll your hands together, then let them air dry. After a bowel movement, wash
your hands with the Face & Body Soap. The Face & Body Soap is too strong to use
several times a day, but it is fine for use about 3-4 times a day. If you try using it several
times a day to wash your hands, your hands will likely become dry. Also, hot water tends
to dry the skin, even without using soap.
2oz Spray Pump (personal, travel size):
Fill with vodka and keep this in your purse, car, or travel bag. Use it to sanitize your
hands when you are away from home.
8oz Spray Pump (kitchen, household):
Fill with vodka. Use in the kitchen to sanitize kitchen counters and to sanitize your hands
while preparing food. Spray the counter and let it air dry. Use it to sanitize baby toys,
door knobs, phones, pens, and car keys.
8oz Plastic Container (fingernail dip):
Fill this container half full with vodka and keep it on your desk or in the bathroom. Once
a day, submerge all ten of your fingernails in the vodka for about one minute. This is a very
effective way to kill microorganisms, especially parasite eggs, hiding underneath the nails.
The same can also be done for toenails, but use a different container. When the liquid gets
too low, discard the remaining vodka and add a fresh 1/2 a cup.
32oz Plastic Bottle (for refilling, diluting):
You can dilute the vodka if you find it too expensive to use full strength. Add 16oz of 40%
grain alcohol to the bottle and fill with pure water. This results in a 20% alcohol sanitizer
and is still very effective and good. Add 8oz of 40% grain alcohol to the bottle and fill
with pure water. This results in a 10% alcohol sanitizer and is still effective and adequate.
Do not dilute below 10%.
32oz Hand Sanitizer Pump Bottle:
Fill this container with vodka, 40% grain alcohol, or you can use half vodka and half
filtered water, (20% grain alcohol). One pump from this dispenser will be enough to
saturate both hands. Be sure to get it under your nails and between your fingers, then just
let it air dry. Keep one dispenser next to the kitchen sink for use when preparing food, and
one next to the bathroom sink.
Toothbrush Sanitizer:
Fill this 4 ounce bottle with 20% alcohol (half vodka half water). Keep your toothbrush
sanitizing in this alcohol solution between uses. The 32 oz Dilution Bottle makes refilling
this sanitizer fast and easy.
Don't wait until you're already sick. Clean-up now.
When the doctor brings bad news, you've waited too long.
